I have always loved to cook. As a young girl I would watch my mother in our small kitchen on West 192 street in the Bronx. I would watch her preparing sofrito, the base ingredient of almost everything we ate .

I have always been complemented on my cooking, and decided to start Soul Y Sofrito as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice in the kitchen.
